The Bio Green heating mats are ready-to-use with a thermostatic temperature control in the range of 0-40°C. They come in various standard sizes and can also be made to order. The heating mats are designed to produce a maximum soil temperature of 35°C.
The Bio Green heating mat will bring you more success in growing from seed and propagating plants from cuttings. This is because the heat that is generated is directed to exactly where it is needed, namely in the soil, near the plant’s roots.

The heatoutput is accurately calculated so that the Bio green heating mat guarantees optimum heat distribution in the soil, wether in propagators or plant pots, and encourages the growth of roots and seedlings with no significant temperature drops.

Possible Applications

Along with many other applications, heating mats can be used when growing seed or cuttings in a seedbed, raised flower bed or propagator, on shelves or on a bench, in greenhouse and conservatories and even in the living room. They are also ideal for using as ground heating e.g. for over-wintering plants in small areas.

Heat distribution of a Bio Green Heatmat

The  Bio Green heating mat guarantees even heat distribution over the whole surface. A double layer of hotwelded tear proof aluminium sheeting enables the even distribution of heat with the result of having the same temperature in the entire growing medium. The heatoutput is calulated depending on the size of the mat. Ideal heat distribution over the whole area of the mat is achieved by ensuring that the loops of the inserted telflon coated silicon heating  are exactly the right distance appart.
