A normal bulb is not suitable for assimilation lighting (encourages growth) as it radiates a lot of red light and allows plants to “shoot”. With the Sirius plant light a combination of lights is developed which creates professional lighting conditions for the amateur greenhouse or for the professional grower.

The Sirius X400 light, high pressure sodium lamp (power 400 W), is designed so that only one light is sufficient for the average size of an amateur greenhouse (see sketch). In contrast to other plant lights, the Sirius X400 supplies the light that is required, in terms of type and quantity, for healthy plant growth – at low power consumption. In the winter months there is a lack of sunlight, particularly in countries between the fortieth and eightieth parallel. And this shortage can be bridged economically with a suitable lamp. The
